Thanksgiving Tidbits

alans-turkey-resized.jpgThis cute little turkey was made by our son back when he was five years old.  His homework for kindergarten was to decorate a turkey cardboard shape with his family.  This is what we came up with.   (Surprisingly, the cereal we glued on has lasted throughout all the years.  I guess that shows how many preservatives they put in foods.) The most important part about Thanksgiving is to remember why we celebrate that day and how it got started.  It originated as a day to give thanks to God for the bounty of food with which He blessed them.  This day of Thanksgiving has lasted through the decades as a day to give God thanks for all our blessing.
