I’m Charla and I’m so glad you came to visit! Wish we could sit down and have a glass of iced tea together (or coke, soda, pop, coffee or whatever you like best).

* My relationship with God is the most important thing in my life…He is my life!
* Jesus is the true love of my life and my very best friend!
* I’m married to my sweetheart, Tony. He is my second best friend. We’ve been married 34 years.
* Perspective changes how we look at things! 34 years is not that long!
* We have a daughter, Christi, & son-in-law and a son in college. Our family is such a blessing!
* We have two precious grandsons: “J” (age 4) & “C” (age 2)
* Being a grandma is awesome!
* I’m a graduate of ACU. Go Wildcats!!!
* I’m a special ed teacher, and I love my kids.
* I’ve taught elementary school for 20 years (special ed, first grade, & second grade).
* I do private tutoring at my home.
* I’m a Texas girl – born, raised and still living in Texas.
* Who inspired and encouraged me to become a blogger: Alan, our son
* I like to do volunteer work at a Food Pantry during the summer.
* I hope to start a garden sometime.
* Favorite vacation spots – Rocky Mountains in Colorado and Hawaii
* Favorite snacks – nuts, air-popped popcorn drizzled with EVOO & sea salt, and “Ants on a Log.

Above is a picture that our son took of me with his iPhone before I knew what he was doing. I’m really talking on the phone. By the way, I’m thankful for corded phones because if I can’t find either of the cordless phones, I always know where the corded one is located!
