Do you keep up with the latest fashion?  I don’t, and I must admit that my mother-in-law keeps up with it more than me.  I’ll sometimes ask our daughter if something is in style that I’m not sure about.  It’s not that I don’t have an idea about what’s in style, but I don’t keep up with what’s the very latest fashion.  I know some brands, but some brands like apple bottom I don’t know about.  Wearing what’s comfortable and stylish enough for me is what I like to wear.

I’ve come to the conclusion that age doesn’t matter when faced with the problem of how to get rid of acne.  Sure, when a person is a teenager they expect to have acne at some point.  But even when well past the teenage years, and I’m talking about even when you have children and grandchildren, acne can pop up every now and then just to aggravate you.  It might just be one small pimple, but still it’s a nuisance.  Acne is no respecter of age!

Even though I’m well past the age for acne, I still get an occasional pimple now and then.  It’s nothing major, and I don’t need an oily skin treatment but I do put alcohol on the small spot.  That usually takes care of it and it goes away soon.  My skin is what is considered normal as far as oiliness, but I remember when I was young having oily skin.  I guess most teenagers do.

I remember the days when I was a teenager and had acne, much to my dismay!  I tried to get rid of blackheads and tried various remedies to get rid of pimples.  Going to the dermatologist was a great help, but back then I think my parent’s insurance covered it.  Nowadays, insurance companies don’t cover things like acne.  That’s something most people take care of on their own.

There are a lot of people who buy shoes online, and there are a lot of sites that sell shoes such as mbt shoes.   Apparently, there’s a big market for that. I don’t know about you, but I’m hesitant to buy shoes without being able to try them on first.  Shoes that are tight and ones that let my foot slip to the end of the shoe bother my feet.  There must be a policy with online shoe sites that let’s you send them back if they don’t fit.  I’ll have to check that out sometime.

Now that the holidays are over, I have five pounds to lose.  That’s one of my traditional unspoken New Year’s resolutions.  I thought I wasn’t going to gain but just a couple of pounds, but after Christmas week was over then it turned into five.  One thing I don’t have to deal with is adult acne.  That’s good!   I’ll just concentrate on eating healthier, cutting back on what I eat, and trying to work in at least a couple of walks a week.

Have you ever had personalized jewelry?  I remember having some as a child, and I thought it was very special.  Several years ago, a friend gave me a key chain with my initials on it which was a thoughtful gift!  Maybe part of what makes a personalized item special is the fact that it’s unique, and the person giving the gift had to go to extra effort to get the gift personalized.  What about you?  Have you ever had anything personalized?
