Meg, Florida’s Bargain Queen, has another great buy, this time on a dark denim Liz Claiborne skirt. It’s a classic A-line skirt which she says can look great with a T-shirt and sandals, or it can look dressier with a blouse. I really like skirts myself because they are so versatile. Click here to see this very flattering skirt that is a great buy for $25.99
I just saw the cutest blouse in a post by Meg, Florida’s Bargain Queen. It has three-quarter length sleeves that are lantern-sleeves, would look great for work or a party, and could even be worn with jeans to dress them up a bit. It’s a very flattering, feminine looking blouse, and the great thing about it is that it’s on sale for a little less than half price! Our daughter has the neatest seat belt purses that our son-in-law gave her. I remember the first time she told me she had a seat belt purse, I imagined a purse with the buckle and everything. When I actually saw the purse, I was amazed at how nice it was. Her most recent purse is a smaller version of her first one and much easier to handle now that she has Baby J. Both purses are a classic black color, look sharp when she’s dressed up or when she’s wearing jeans, are strong and sturdy ,and are made to last a long time. She also has the matching wallet and keeps her purse very organized, and I imagine in a couple of years she will have little toy cars and trucks in her purse as well.
I don’t look at cute earrings in the store unless they are for sensitive ears because the metal will definitely bother my ears and cause them to itch like crazy. And one of the things I can not stand is for my ears to be itchy all day. So I only look at the sterling silver earrings which greatly limits my choice. If you have a problem with earrings, too, go to the blog below and read about a neat solution that Wanda has for eliminating that problem.
I have a friend who always wears the neatest jewelry. She wears earrings and maybe a necklace or bracelet that match the clothes she’s wearing, and I think that’s partly because she’s an artist and her creativity carries over into her jewelry. (I usually have on my silver hoop earrings, although I do have several other pairs. And then I wear my watch, although the battery needs replacing right now, so a lot of days recently the earrings and my wedding rings are it.) I have another friend who wears neat jewelry too. One outfit she wears that looks really sharp is a black dress with a pearl necklace. Jewelry can definitely be a nice accent to an outfit whether it’s a nice, black dress or blue jeans and a shirt.

When our daughter was in high school, we would go shopping at the mall and go to just about every store (that a teenager would wear clothes from) until we found the longest mini-skirt. Skirts and dresses were really short during that time. But after looking in several stores, we would always find something that was suitable. Clothes can still be in style, fun or funky and yet be modest at the same time. Go to the link below to see some cute clothes.

I read a post this week entitled, “Why Ruching Rocks.” I didn’t know what ”ruching” was. So after doing a little research, I found that ruching is a French word and is an ancient sewing technique. Cindy at Quilters Fancy has dated it as far back as the Middle Ages. According to MSN Encarta, ruching is a decorative fabric edging such as decorative edges of gathered, pleated, or frilled fabric. Or it could be decorative ribbon. It can help to conceal flaws in figures such as love handles. A lot of places have clothes with ruching. Even Target has a long-sleeved Tee with it.
