This time of year can get so busy that it’s crazy. I’m trying to cut out what’s not really necessary to do or postpone things that can be done after the holidays. For example, I won’t be getting any term life insurance quotes, etc., this week.  You know the old saying, “Stop and smell the roses.”  That’s especially important this time of year when people can get so busy that they overlook what’s most important.

There are all types of insurance on the market, but one that I have never heard of until now is buy sell insurance.  So just what type is this?   Apparently, it’s a good type for businesses to have.  If one partner passes away then the other partner gets the remaining half of the business.  It’s a type of insurance that makes sure the business continues and is really what you would call a business protection insurance.

This is the time of year when more weddings will soon be occurring.  Newlyweds-to-be are probably checking into all sorts of things such as rent or house payments, getting health and auto insurance quotes, getting life insurance quotes, finding furniture, and the list could go on and on.  There are deposits to make on rent utilities, and there are decisions to be made on even the smallest details.  They definitely have a lot on their “to do” list!

My insurance is part of a group insurance policy where I work.  I don’t know much about Medicare part D plans, but I do know that medical costs have greatly increased over the last couple of decades.  The cost of a regular doctor visit is double what it used to be just a few years ago.  It’s almost as if people can’t afford to be sick because it costs so much!

Have you ever known anyone who needed to get short term health insurance Blue Cross?   Many years ago, we had to get some short term health insurance coverage to fill in the gap until the waiting period for my group insurance was over.  It was nice to know that we didn’t have to be without any health insurance during a gap in coverage.

Have you ever added up how much you spend every month just on insurance alone?  I did one time by adding up our health insurance, insurance on three vehicles, homeowners insurance, and life insurance.  It really adds up!  I imagine it makes some people look up auto insurance reviews, homeowners insurance reviews, health insurance reviews, etc.  If we save on each of these insurance types, then it can really add up in a positive way!

Do you know anyone getting a new car for Christmas?  If so, then they will be busy checking out car insurance companies. I don’t guess I’ve ever known anyone who received a car for an actual Christmas present, but I have known those who got a car for a graduation gift.   Sounds like a really nice gift to get a new car, whether a new “used car” or a brand new car!

This week has been so busy for most people, and for some it’s to the point of being crazy and hectic.  They don’t have time for insurance quotes, reading their favorite book, or anything that’s not directly related to Christmas.  We’re pretty much (that’s a Texas saying I guess, I don’t know how “much” could be “pretty”) finished getting ready except for one more quick trip to the store.  Hope your day is relaxed and enjoyable!

Health Insurance has changed so much during the past few years.  I remember going to the doctor ten years ago and just paying my co-pay.  Insurance covered pretty much everything else.  That doesn’t happen nowadays.  It’s a good idea to check around with several insurance companies such as Blue Advantage and others, compare rates and coverages, and then try to make an educated guess which insurance is right for you.
