Helping Our Skin

Acne is such a pain.  I don’t know of very many people that haven’t had a problem with it at some point in their life.  I know I had a problem with it and remember having to go to the dermatologist when I was in high school.

There are some things we can do to help our skin, whether we have acne or not, such as eating:

  • a healthy, high-fiber diet
  • raw fruits and veggies
  • almonds and cashews which contain oxalic acid
  • whole grains
  • sunflower seeds
  • grapes, strawberries, and pineapple because they’re high in alpha-hydroxy acids

Drinking eight glasses of water per day is great, too.

A lot of people use topical solutions to help their skin.  Some people work on blackhead removal.  Whatever they use, they should research various products to find what works for them.

  1. Acne makes my high school days worst. it really bothers me. i always think that people around me are laughing because of acne. what i did is get enough sleep, eat the right foods and wash my face everyday. i’m sure it will help to prevent acne.
