We love our king-sized Tempurpedic mattress which we’ve had for eleven years now. Before that, we had two different regular mattresses, and a very long time ago before that, we had a waterbed. All of these beds were king-sized, too, but the Tempurpedic is by far the best mattress we have ever owned. It definitely helps our backs having such a wonderful mattress to sleep on at night.
One thing, though, about having such a good mattress to sleep on every night is that we miss it when we’re traveling. If we stay at a motel or hotel, which always have a firmer mattress, we can really tell a difference. Earlier this year we traveled to see our family. The place we stayed at had such a very firm mattress that I woke up feeling so stiff the next morning. It took me at least an hour or longer to loosen up and not feel stiff anymore. I was so glad to sleep on our own mattress after we got back home, and the next morning my back felt so much better when I woke up. It makes a huge difference what type of mattress we sleep on at night, and we believe it’s been worth the investment to have better quality sleep and healthier backs.
