Do any of you play golf? A friend of mine plays golf every once in a while, though she’s not an avid golfer like her husband. The only golf I’ve ever played was miniature golf, and it’s been a long time since I’ve played that. Leslie, if you’re reading this, do you know anything about Cleveland golf clubs? If I were to play golf…real golf…for the first time, what kind of golf club would I start out with? Maybe some of my readers know. If you do, please let me know because I haven’t the slightest idea!

This is So Cool!
If you live in Charter’s serviceable area, here’s a chance to register and win a Nintendo® Wii. The neat thing is that this game system is fun for all ages, young children through grandparents. We have one, and it is an awesome game system. Of all the systems we’ve had through the years, this is our favorite. The game is displayed on TV so that everyone in the room can see what’s going on. There are interactive sports games that come with it that are a lot of fun. The bowling, for instance, feels almost like real bowling, only with an imaginary ball. There are so many neat games that you can buy, one of my favorite being Big Brain Academy which is an educational game that exercises the brain, yet seems like a really fun game. Now, have I sold you on it if you don’t have one?
Click Here for a Chance to Win a Nintendo® Wii™! The winner will receive the Nintendo® Wii Console and Stand, five Sports games, two controllers (a Remote Controller and a Nunchuk Controller), a Sensor bar, an AC Adapter, and an AV Cable. That’s everything needed to play!
Not only can registrants have a chance to win a Nintendo® Wii, but there’s also an auction where they can bid on Charter High-Speed Internet for life. The bidding starts at $10, and the only requirements are that the registrant lives in an area serviceable by Charter and can receive Charter High-Speed Internet service. So register now to win a great game system that provides many hours of great family and friend time.

For my readers, I want to point out that I now have two new features added to my blog. On the right-hand sidebar, there is a place for (top) Commentors as of yesterday. My Computer and I Thank You!
I’m thankful to family and relatives who help me with all my computer ventures. They set up the computer for me, one in particular help me set up my blog, and if I have any problems then there’s always one of them to fix it for me. Yesterday, my husband helped me position all the cords better. That was great! I don’t know the difference between CAT5e cables and other cords or what needs to be plugged in where. So I’m very thankful for all the help I get! I’m learning as I go, so as time goes on I plan to learn more and more. But in the meantime…I want to say thank you to all of you who have helped me!
Weight Loss
Since Christmas, a lot of people are thinking about how to lose weight. There are a lot of different diets and methods to choose from. For me, eating healthy is a good choice. Since our daughter had Baby J, she has been doing Weight Watchers which encourages healthy eating and getting fiber in the diet, etc. Whenever anyone starts a diet or using supplements, they should contact their physician to make sure what they are doing is healthy for them.
Unconditional Love
Everybody needs it, everybody wants it whether they realize it or not, and it’s the kind of love that lasts…unconditional love. It’s the kind of love that says, “I love you no matter what.” This kind of love is crucial for a marriage. Marriage is not always easy, but it’s definitely worth the effort put into it. As parents, we must have that unconditional love for our kids, especially during the teenage years when peer pressure is so intense and maybe on some days self-esteem is low. If a teenager knows that mom and dad will always be there and value them, always love them even though they don’t like their action sometimes, then that gives a sense of stability. And unconditional love gives just that…a sense of stability…no matter what happens!

Baby Einstein Color Blocks Recalled
Evenflo Recalls 1 Million Car Seats
On Feb. 1, Evenflo recalled one million Discovery infant car seats, specifically the Discovery Infant Car Seat Models 390, 391, 534 and 552, made between April 2005 and Jan. 29, 2008. This was a voluntary safety recall, and they said it’s not necessary for owners of the car seats to stop using them or return them. Instead, they are offering a free supplemental dual-hook fastener to make sure that the seat remains attached in high-impact side collisions. To order, call Evenflo at 1-800-356-2229 between 8-5 EST or go to Evenflo online.
Spring Storms
This is the time of year when spring storms are just around the corner. I remember a bad storm that hit here one February. We had ferocious winds that blew two of our huge trees over onto our house. Local people saw funnel clouds but on TV they said it was straight line winds. Whatever it was, I’m so thankful that we had good insurance to cover the damage done to our roof.
Insurance is so important, and that’s why it’s important to compare home owners insurance policies. InsureLog.com lets you do just that. They offer side by side comparisons of policies and companies so you know that you are getting the best rate possible.
Lithium Batteries
Most families nowadays have so many things that use a lithium battery. Cameras and camcorders use them, and I think it’s always good to have a backup battery in case a battery runs out of power during a “Kodak moment.” If you’re needing a new battery, East Coast Photo has a newly revised “Battery Finder” where you can search for the battery you need, an expanded on-line catalog where you can also find new and innovative tools, and they have knowledgeable staff and competitive pricing.
