Bracelets

Mother’s Day came and went so fast.  I imagine there were all types of gifts given such as jewelry, maybe a Bella Bracelet.  Speaking of bracelets, how many of you had or have a charm bracelet?  I did when I was growing up.  I’m not sure where my bracelet is and need to look for it, now that I think about it.  Charm bracelets are fun to wear and are in style.  In fact, I don’t think they ever went out of style.

Menu Plan Monday 5/9/11

Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day!  I did, and I’m so thankful for my wonderful family and love them so much!  Being a mother is one of life’s greatest joys!

Tuesday: Chef Salad

Wednesday: Salmon Patties, corn, broccoli

Thursday: Leftovers from night before

Friday: Chick Fil-A ?

Elizabeth at Table for Five is the writer behind the original “Table for Five” which she started in September 2005 while on bed rest during her pregnancy. She shares stories and cute pictures of their three kids as well as many reviews and giveaways. She states on her sidebar that if you have a question then email her. Nearly four years ago, Elizabeth answered several emails to help Charla (who she didn’t know) get started with blogging. She’s good about helping fellow bloggers!

Kristen at Our Crazy Bunch is wife to an “awesome hubby” who is a Marine, and she’s mom to four wonderful children, two girls and two boys.  They live in Florida where she shares about their life living on a military base, her faith, crafts, reviews, giveaways she hosts, and other topics such as great deals she finds.  Kristen also shares a lot of pictures of their family and activities they are involved in.

The writer of Pawberry Lane is a vegan who loves cats (did you notice the cats on her button?), traveling, knitting, crocheting, contesting and blogging.  This blogger is from Canada where “life is pawsitively sweet,” and she does reviews and many giveaways on Pawberry Lane.  She even does reviews on pet products which comes as no surprise, and her cats gladly help her with several of her reviews.

Flowers Available Online

With Mother’s Day being this coming Sunday, many people will be ordering online flowers for the special mother in their life, whether it’s their mother, their wife, an aunt or grandmother.  Some people are intentionally ordering flowers today or tomorrow, but many who are ordering at this point in time may have forgotten and may be calling at the last minute.  Isn’t it great that flowers can be ordered so simply online?

Mother’s Day Gifts

Mother’s Day is almost here!  What do you get your mom for this fast approaching day?  Some might get flowers, her favorite candy, or maybe something out of the ordinary like Aruba jewelry.   Some might give her something to go with a hobby or a new book release of a favorite author.  Whatever a mother gets, it’s the love behind the gift that makes it so special.

Riding Horses

We’ve had new neighbors for a while, who happen to be really nice, but I miss seeing our old neighbors.  Their daughter, who is elementary school age, loves to ride horses, and her parents gave her riding lessons at an equestrian center back when they were our neighbors.  I don’t know if the center used english horse tack or any of the details, but I do know that our young neighbor absolutely loved to ride horses there!  I wonder if she still rides.  The answer is more than likely “yes!”

Insurance Costs

My insurance is part of a group insurance policy where I work.  I don’t know much about Medicare part D plans, but I do know that medical costs have greatly increased over the last couple of decades.  The cost of a regular doctor visit is double what it used to be just a few years ago.  It’s almost as if people can’t afford to be sick because it costs so much!

Fashion

Do you keep up with the latest fashion?  I don’t, and I must admit that my mother-in-law keeps up with it more than me.  I’ll sometimes ask our daughter if something is in style that I’m not sure about.  It’s not that I don’t have an idea about what’s in style, but I don’t keep up with what’s the very latest fashion.  I know some brands, but some brands like apple bottom I don’t know about.  Wearing what’s comfortable and stylish enough for me is what I like to wear.

Menu Plan Monday 5/2/2011

Also, Mother’s Day is this coming Sunday. If you would like to make an easy, somewhat healthy, and impressive cake for someone special in your life, then you might like my Fresh Fruit & Angel Food Cake
