New Year’s Resolutions?

How are your New Year’s resolutions going?  I’ve read different statistics on what percentage of people actually make resolutions, but it’s probably 45-50%.  And apparently a lot of people don’t keep all their resolutions.  This year, I’m keeping it simple with just one resolution which is to read my Daily Bible through in one year.  Our daughter gave each of us The Daily Bible when she was a freshman in college over ten years ago.  I’ve read the majority of it through several different years, but I’ve never read it completely through in one year.  So, that’s my only resolution.

So far, I’m not keeping up with exactly what I’m supposed to read each day, but that’s OK.  I catch up on other days that aren’t as busy.  The main thing is that I’m reading some every day.  For example, today I’m reading for Jan. 7th, 8th, & 9th, and then I’ll be back on track.

My main goal through reading the Bible is to have an even deeper relationship with God and to deepen my faith!  For any of you wanting to read the Bible in one year, I highly recommend “The Daily Bible.”  The devotional thoughts and historical backdrops are great and help to have a better understanding of the context of the Bible.
