Great Online Coupons to My Favorite Stores!

This is so awesome!   Did you know that there are online coupons to a lot of our favorite stores?   It’s the time of year to start thinking about Christmas shopping, and with so many people to buy for, it helps to save money.   Our daughter loves to shop at Old Navy for herself, her husband, and the baby.  So that’s a great place to look for gifts.  They have such cute baby clothes there.  I can look in the Baby Department and find an “Oh, that’s so cute!” outfit for him.  And the great thing is, I’ll have a coupon to use.  We also like Target.   Our daughter, her mother-in-law, her sister-in-law and I can spend an hour in Target…easy.  One time when my mother-in-law flew down for a visit, we spent two hours in Target!  Yes…two hours.  We had so much fun looking at everything!  (She doesn’t have a Target store close by where she lives.)   So I have several people in my family who would like a Christmas gift from there.  And again, the neat thing is that I can do some of my Christmas shopping at Target and save money with a coupon.  And if I happen to shop online at one of these stores, I have an online coupon and all I have to do is type in the code in the code box.  It’s that simple!  My family knows how I love to save money,  use coupons, and share with them about how I saved money.   I’ll  definitely be sharing the news about these great coupons with them, too.

Bargain on a KitchenAid Blender

I needed a new blender one time and decided I wanted a KitchenAid Blender. I checked around at all the stores and found that Bed, Bath & Beyond had the best deal. They had one that sold for $120 on sale for $100. Since I had a store coupon for 20% off one item, that brought the price down to $80. And there just happened to be a mail-in rebate for $20 to KitchenAid. So I ended up getting my blender for half price. It was a great bargain!

I use it the most to make smoothies or a fruitlatti, and it has no trouble with the ice. We use it almost daily during the summer so it really gets used a lot then. I feel blessed to get such a wonderful blender for such a wonderful price!

Best Mortgage Rates

When we bought our house several years ago, we wanted the best mortgage rate available.  Anyone buying a house wants a mortgage loan that is competitive.  Mortgage loans, mortgage refinancing, and home equity loans help homeowners afford the home they’ve been wanting.   If someone has a high mortgage rate, then they seriously need to consider mortgage refinancing.  They can find out online what their mortgage rate would be.    A good mortgage company will help you find what’s best for you.

The Coupon Queen

Diane is a friend of mine who I think of as the “coupon queen.”  She is amazing and has couponing down to a science.  Several years ago there used to be a grocery store that would triple coupons up to 75c.  $1.00 coupons would be doubled.   Diane would buy huge amounts of groceries worth anywhere between $150 and $300 and would pay amounts like $19 or $24, etc.  She did this time and time again.  I did save a large percentage of my grocery bill, but I would pay something like $15 or $20 for $70 worth of groceries.  It was fun seeing how much we saved every week, and Diane and I would be excited over how much each other had saved.  Now stores only triple coupons up to 39c and double up to 50c.  I must admit that I don’t use coupons now as much as I used to.  For one thing, I don’t buy as much processed food.   I try to eat fresh produce and “cook from scratch” (I wonder where that saying came from) as much as possible.  But Diane is still saving huge amounts and still amazes me with her savings.

If you’ve never tried couponing before, find someone who does and give it a try.  It’s fun having someone to share experiences with, and it’s great to save on your grocery bill.

End of Season Clearance Sales!

I enjoy going to the end of season clearance sales.  My favorite sales are the ones that are 75% off.  Last summer I went to a really good sale.  I got four skirts for less than the price of one because I had coupons too.  I think with tax I paid under $60 for the four skirts, and they were originally $60 skirts.  I had already decided I wanted to get some new skirts, so it wasn’t an impulse buy.  And I try to buy mainly things that I know will go with something I already have and will complete an outfit.

When our daughter was in college, she worked for the Gap.  She would get fantastic buys on end of season items.  A couple of times she was able to get things for $1.99.  I remember one time she got her brother three pairs of boys shorts for a little over $6.  And they were nice shorts.   So she’s good at finding bargains too.  We both get excited when we find really good deals and we’ll add up what the original value would have been.  It’s fun figuring out how much we saved!  Now that she lives in another town, we can’t wait to email each other about the bargains we find!  🙂
