Free Online Survey Software and Customer Satisfaction Survey

Whenever we go shopping or out to eat, I love it when they tell us about a customer satisfaction survey we can do to tell about our shopping or dining experience.  This usually means that we get a coupon of some type.  And it also means that we have an opportunity to let the company know how we liked their place, the product or meal, quality of customer service, cleanliness, etc.  They often ask if we would visit this establishment again or refer it to a friend or family member.

The survey also offers a chance to relate any bad experience with service or the product.  This rarely happens, “once in a blue moon,” but if for some reason something happens then the survey lets you explain the details of that experience.  Sometimes, it’s just something simple but yet something that a good business owner would want to know about in order to improve their business.

If you happen to be a business owner, there is free online survey software that you can check out to see if it’s what you need for your business.  In my estimation, if something is free and might be something that would be really beneficial, then why not give it a try and see if it meets the needs of the business.   If the survey helps you understand the customers’ expectations and satisfaction, that is valuable software.  Otherwise, there’s no real way to know if the customers’ expectations have been met or not.  It’s just a guessing game without any quantifiable data.

Automated Surveys are so convenient for both sides, the customer and the business.  The survey can be done anytime at the customer’s convenience,  24-hours-a-day.  What makes this great for the business is that no staff is required to give the surveys.  What an easy way to get valuable information to make sure customers are satisfied.

Healthy Organic Sleep starts a Healthy Day!

Nothing beats waking up feeling refreshed and ready to conquer your day, and nothing helps you better than a great night’s sleep. You’d be surprised at how hard good sleep is to come by whether it be your mind not being able to shut off or an uncomfortable mattress.

If your issue is the mattress, you most likely get online and start looking in to new mattress options and that’s when things get worse. Did you know about all the toxins and glues that are in a normal mattress? All the harmful off gassing? I didn’t think so, now you can’t even sleep a wink on the uncomfortable mattress you have because you can’t shut your brain off thinking of what’s seeping in to your system.

I’m exhausted just writing that…. Time to look for healthy alternatives!

After a lot of searching, an organic mattress is the way to go: healthy, comfortable and durable. Here’s my only problem: I’ve been a big fan of memory foam and the idea of going back to a mattress that causes my pressure points to flare up again isn’t really appealing. Imagine my delight when I found Essentia which is like Tempurpedic but natural: Essentia organic memory foam mattresses are latex based and have none of the toxic chemicals found in traditional memory foam.

It’s everything I need in one healthy mattress! Essentia showrooms in the US are the only place you can get a real feel for them but I’m crossing my fingers that they’ll be opening a location in Texas soon.

Menu Plan Monday & Zucchini Recipes

Have you ever eaten at Souper Salad? We ate there today after church and have eaten there many times, usually whenever they’ve emailed us good coupons. I always feel so healthy after we’ve eaten salad, veggies, and fruit.

Which reminds me that summertime gardens are full of delicious, healthy, fresh produce.  I’m hearing that a lot of you who have planted zucchini have an abundance of it.  Since zucchini just happens to be one of our favorite veggies, I thought I would devote a week to this popular vegetable:
.
Monday: Roasted Zucchini Flatbread with Hummus, Arugula, Goat Cheese, and Almonds

Tuesday: Potato and Zucchini Frittata

Wednesday: Grilled Vegetable Panini, salad

Thursday: Zucchini “Fettuccine” With Tomato Sauce

Friday: Freschetta’s Simply Inspired “Farmers Market Veggie” Pizza (which contains zucchini and is one of our very favorite pizzas)

Lists

Do you make lists of things to do, things to buy, things not to forget?  I definitely do!  I am such a list person and our daughter is too.  I have several lists going right now such as what I need to do this week, places I need (or want) to shop, what housework needs to get done here at home before school starts, what school work need to get done here at the house before school starts, etc.

I can imagine that a man’s list would include work in the yard and helping out around the house.  His shopping list might include auto care supplies and if he smoked then maybe a pack of Backwoods cigars.  I can also imagine that a man’s list would be shorter and he would not have as many lists.  Maybe that’s because women are known for multitasking a lot, and they need lists to help stay organized with the myriad of things on their lists.  Just a thought.

Making Pregnancy More Comfortable for Sleeping

Anything that helps during pregnancy such as body pillows or whatever, means a lot to the mother-to-be.  Our daughter is pregnant with their third child and thankfully doesn’t have trouble sleeping.  I remember with both my pregnancies, however, that it was hard to get comfortable at night during the last couple of months.  We had a waterbed during my second pregnancy and that was so awesome and helped tremendously.  I also had a body pillow which helped a lot.  Whatever discomfort is experienced during sleeping, though, is quickly forgotten once the precious bundle of joy arrives!

Scanners

School will be starting soon!  I teach special ed, so I don’t have hundreds of papers to grade.  However, I can imagine upper grade teachers wishing they had some type of barcode scanner system, such as  POSGuys, so they could just scan the papers.  There is scantron available, but the student has to bubble in A, B, C, or D for their answer.  I think it would be cool if there were some type of scanner created that could scan across math papers and grade them.  That would be only in the movies!

Healthy Eating: Foods with Vitamin A

Welcome to the beginning of what I plan to be my “Healthy Eating” category, a series with information about which foods contain what vitamins and minerals, and how these particular nutritive components of foods benefit us health wise. We know a lot of this information, but sometimes we get so busy and forget and go on autopilot.  It’s good to be reminded every now and then.
A is well known as an antioxidant and very helpful during the cold & flu season.  It’s also great for eye health,  acne, bones, teeth, healing stomach ulcers, and can even help lower cholesterol.

Another very important fact about Vitamin A is that the body can’t utilize protein without it.  It’s a must-have vitamin!  That’s something I forget, that Vitamin A can help my body use the protein in my meal.  I try to eat a good amount of protein in every meal, not too much but the recommended amount.  If I’m not eating enough Vitamin A in my diet, though, then my body is probably not using the protein efficiently.  Looking at the list below, it’s easy to see how protein can be paired with one or two of the foods below.   There are quite a few food combinations that could be made for a healthy meal.

.Here are some healthy sources of Vitamin A:

  • Fruits:  apricots, cantaloupe, grapefruit, papayas, peaches, pumpkin, tomato, watermelon
  • Veggies:  asparagus, broccoli, brussel sprouts, carrots, greens, kale, peas, red peppers, spinach, butternut squash, sweet potatoes
  • Herbs:  alfalfa, cayenne, fennel seed, kelp, lemongrass, paprika, parsley, peppermint, raspberry leaf, sage, watercress
  • Liver

Wedding Frames

This is the time of year when there are a lot of weddings being planned.  There are so many details to attend to such as getting the right photographer.  Once the wedding pictures arrive, it’s exciting to relive the wedding through the pictures, and many people display their favorite photos in special frames.  You can follow this link if you’re looking for a special frame or maybe even a personalized frame for a special wedding photo.  Or maybe you’re looking for a unique wedding gift.  An engraved frame makes a truly special gift.

ACT & SAT Testing Score Averages by State

Looking at a map of test score averages and seeing the scores of all the different states is interesting.   Averages of ACT Scores and also SAT Scores vary from state to state, and the statistics show which states have the higher scores.  Many families decide where they are going to settle down according to how good the school systems are in the neighborhood where they’re considering buying a house.  I wonder if some people decide which state to live in by its test score averages.  By the way, my son developed the maps at the above links.

Hiking in the Mountains

It’s been so hot here in Texas this weekend, and a lot of places across the country have been feeling the heat, too.  Makes me want to be in mountains where the temperatures are in the fifties and sixties, maybe wearing some kind of good hiking boots such as Lowa Hiking Boots.  Not that I can do much hiking anymore, but it sure is nice to dream!

Charm Bracelets

Not meaning to sound hokey, charm bracelets are charming!  A lot of people still wear them and look around for that special charm to add to their bracelet and might even search where to find pandora charms.  Each charm signifies something special or unique in the wearer’s life.

I had a charm bracelet growing up, but it probably got lost while we were moving a long time ago.  It might have still been at my parents house, but then it burned down so there’s no way to know. What I miss most about my charm bracelet is one charm that my daddy got for me while on a business trip.  That charm was so special to me!  But even though the charm is gone, his love will always be with me in my heart!
